CONSULTANCY – HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

Our consultants are self-employed and paid on a fee split percentage basis. Woodstock provides its consultants with all of the necessary back office functions, including case management system, compliance training, post scanning and solicitors accounts, leaving you the time to focus on delivering legal services.

Most of our consultants work from home although we have a hub office which allows our lawyers to hot-desk providing a change of environment and valuable interact with other members of the team. The hub also provides a meeting/function room facility to meet the needs of your clients.

If you want to take the plunge then give us a call or send an email.

COMMERCIAL PROPERTY
SOLICITOR

We are currently looking for commercial property lawyer to join our busy team to work as a consultant alongside our existing solicitors.

"And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius."

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently…they change things. They push the human race forward.

And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.”

Steve Jobs

WHAT DO OUR CONSULTANTS HAVE TO SAY

Our team ranges from a solicitor who saw the light and moved from a global top 10 firm, to solicitors who have run their own law firms and those that frankly have had enough of the traditional law firm model and understand there is something better out there.

Here's what they have to say....

“Having retired from full time practice after many years of running my own business being a consultant with Woodstock Legal Services gives me the opportunity to use my experience as a commercial property lawyer. I have been able to retain long-term established clients and develop new contacts in my selected areas of expertise. Woodstock Legal Services provide the back office and regulatory support that I need and this enables me to operate from home in an environment that is far more relaxed and informal whilst retaining the professional standards that I have always maintained.” Peter Fowler – Property Solicitor

“I became a consultant as a lifestyle choice. Having a new baby, still wanting to pursue a career in law and a husband who is a headteacher, meant that I wanted to try and work in a way which suited my lifestyle (including being a ‘surf widow’ to my husband!). Being able to work around the world, at times which suit me and having the freedom is a blessing and a privilege. I miss my secretarial support on occasions, but do not miss chargeable hours or billing targets. I set the targets and the rules. How liberating is that in the world of law?!” Simone Ritchie – Property Litigation Solicitor

“Woodstock has allowed me to develop a strong niche practice in residential Landlord and Tenant. I have the freedom to develop a service that best suits our clients’ needs. I work hard, and my clients are top on my list of priorities but the strong team ethic, flexibility and freedom from the constraints of a traditional law firm model mean I don’t have to miss the school run, nativity play or sports day! I even manage to squeeze in some ‘me time’”.  Carly Jermyn - Property Litigation Solicitor and Director

“Working for Woodstock has given me the freedom I could only dream of in a conventional law firm. I can now work in any location, and at any time, to ensure my clients are getting the best possible service, with the confidence that the strict regulation and compliance required of lawyers is taken care of. Working together with like-minded people has built strong foundations to ensure clients are well taken care of, but at the same time, maintaining a work/life balance.” Anna Hughes - Chartered Legal Executive
